Congratulations to Amairah Gayle,  a grade 10 St. Catharines Collegiate student on amazing OFSAA double GOLD wins in Toronto last weekend!

Amairah competed in the Women High Jump Junior with a winning jump of 1.70m.  She also placed first in the Women Long Jump Junior with a jump of 5.77m.    She is the only DSBN student to win 2 GOLD medals.  Amairah will be recognized by the Director at the June Board meeting.

Thank you to our coaches for your effort, encouragement and dedication throughout the season.

Collegiate has some exciting news!  

Kadmiel and Sean were selected to represent Collegiate in the Bob Miller Classic All-Star basketball game this year! 

Both Sean and Kadmiel have worked so hard during their time at Collegiate on improving their basketball skills, and both are amazing representatives for Collegiate!

Our hope is that we will be able to get staff and students out to the games to support them!

Congratulations to our Drama students that participated in the Niagara District Drama Festival!  Oliver won the Distinctive Award of Merit. Collegiate's production won the Suitcase in Point Award for the most innovative production and will perform "Piece Of Me" at this year's In the Soil Festival in June.  Piece Of Me also won the Outstanding Production Award and the Peltoma Award for Overall Production! CI will be moving on to perform in the Southwest Regionals in April. Congrats!

Track and Field had another successful day at SOSSA yesterday. Cassie completed her 800m run securing her spot in all 3 para events at South Regionals. Austin will also be advancing in triple jump.

Overall, the Saints came home from SOSSA with 3 firsts, 2 seconds, a third, and a fourth place finish.

Athletes who are advancing will resume practice on Monday next week. South Regionals are in Brampton on June 1 and 2nd which is this coming Thursday and Friday.
