November marks the start of project plaid.

Project Plaid began in 2019 following the tragic loss of 18-year-old Amelia Durocher. In response, Amelia’s mother took action with the help of Pathstones to raise awareness and support youth who might be struggling with their mental health. Amelia loved plaid and so her mother created #ProjectPlaid as a way to honor Amelia’s memory and to help prevent similar losses in other families. What started as a personal effort to cope and connect has grown into a regional movement dedicated to promoting mental health awareness throughout the month of November. We encourage everyone to wear plaid every Friday this November to show support and help raise awareness for youth mental health.

As we celebrate World Kindness Day, it’s the perfect time to remember what Project Plaid is truly about, it’s about spreading kindness, support, and care for one another.

Wearing plaid isn’t just about the pattern, it’s a symbol that we’re standing together for mental health and reminding others that they’re not alone.

So today, let’s go beyond just what we wear, let’s show kindness in what we do. A small smile, a kind word, or a helping hand can make a big difference. What can you do to spread kindness?

شما چه کارهایی می‌توانید انجام دهید تا مهربانی را گسترش دهید؟
