ANNOUNCEMENTS: December 5, 2025 - Friday
We begin this gathering by acknowledging the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples, many of whom continue to live and work here today. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and is within the land protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum agreement. Good morning, everyone.
Today we recognize the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. On this day, we remember and honour the lives of women and girls who have been impacted by gender-based violence, and we reflect on our responsibility to create safer, more inclusive communities.
As part of this important day, our Equity Council will be hosting a special event at lunch in the main foyer. We invite all students and staff to join us in commemorating the inspirational women in our lives by writing their name or a message on a Post-it note to add to our display. This wall of recognition is a way for us to celebrate strength, resilience, and the meaningful impact women have made in our lives.
