We begin this gathering by acknowledging the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples, many of whom continue to live and work here today. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and is within the land protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum agreement. Today this gathering place is home to many First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples and acknowledging reminds us that our great standard of living is directly related to the resources and friendship of Indigenous people.

St. Catharines Collegiate students, Although we show kindness everyday, we have an opportunity to share kindness worldwide. Wednesday, February 26th is Pink Shirt Day. We ask that St. Catharine's Collegiate nation wear a pink shirt and join the Equity Council on February 26th in our mission to create a more kind, inclusive school and world by raising awareness for anti-bullying. We are excited to see the hallways full of pink!

Congratulations to the Varsity girls Volleyball team for an outstanding season. We are incredibly proud of the team for their remarkable journey and growth. Though the team fought hard yesterday, they ultimately came up short against Franco Niagara. The team made both the Coaches and Collegiate proud of their effort, teamwork, and progress throughout the season. Well done team. The future looks bright for you athletes!

And a big Congratulations and Thank you to Coach Laura for her hard work and dedication to the team.

Come by the Foyer at Lunch and receive a lollipop or pick one up for a friend and write a special note for them to let them know they matter to you! Act of Kindness are contagious so let's see you participate in Random Acts of Kindness today!!

Today, Niagara Region Public Health is holding a vaccination clinic here at Collegiate. Students are encouraged to attend the clinic at our school if they received an Immunization Reminder Notice or Order for Suspension from Public Health.

Students should bring their immunization record (yellow card) on clinic day if they have one, wear a loose-fitting t-shirt and eat breakfast or a snack before the clinic.

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Volleyball team on their amazing performance at their tournament last Wednesday in Welland! The girls fought hard, ending the day with a 3 win 3 loss record. The girls represented Collegiate well demonstrating grit, spirit, and growth. Way to go girls! Next stop: Quarter finals. Wish our girls luck, or come out to show your support, as they travel to DSBN Academy today for their first playoff game. Good luck girls!
