Accomplishments
Mohammed Ahmed, a graduate of St. Catharines Collegiate, raced in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. He placed 4th in the Men's 5000 m final.
Mohammed raced in the 10 000 m event at the 2012 London Olympic Games where he finished in 18th place.
He was also the 2008 Pan American Junior Champion in the 5000 m event and the two-time Canadian Junior Champion in the 5000m in 2008 and 2009. In addition, Ahmed also set the Canadian Junior record in the 10,000 m event in 2010.
At the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, Mo won a silver medal in the 5,000-metre and placed sixth in the 10,000-metre race.
