In a packed Thorold gym, full of both Collegiate and Thorold fans and tons of energy, the Senior Boys Basketball game brought their best game to the floor and upset the undefeated Thorold team 68-65, to capture the NRHSAA Zone 4 Championship. The boys came out to win from the very first second of the game, starting the game off with great scoring opportunities to take a strong lead early, and keeping the lead for the majority of the game. With the game on the line in the last seconds of the game, the boys stayed strong on the court, kept their heads, and prevented the Thorold team from getting any meaningful shots off. They truly played this game their way, as a team. Clayton Thomas-Harris was recognized as the BP Sports player of the game, for his strong full court game and game-leading 23 points. Every player who hit the floor played hard, played smart, and played the defense we needed to win. Team members are: Sheldon Brown, Justin Crawford, Louizidor Fenelon, Jahmar Kennedy-Clarke, Ty Llewellyn, Jerrell Plumadore, Ethan Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Joe Waterman and team managers Micailah and Selena Jones. Mrs Campbell, Ms Mauro and all of Collegiate are so proud of all of you... this is what your season has been leading up to and you succeeded. Way to go guys.
