    Prom Project Niagara 2017 – Free Formal Wear Opportunity

    Prom Project Niagara is a one day fun free formal wear extravaganza for girls and guys! 

    Students can select their perfect head-to-toe look for their prom, formal, or graduation for FREE!

    This year, we are offering Prom Project Niagara at:

    • St. Catharines Collegiate *NEW MAIN LOCATION*
    • Beamsville Secondary School
    • Fort Erie Secondary School

    If you know of a student who could use this program, please join us on Saturday, April 8th, from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at one of our locations.

  • Students' Artwork chosen for Rodman Hall Show

    Two St. Catharines Collegiate students have had their art work chosen for the Secondary Student Juried Art Show at the Rodman Hall Art Centre at Brock University.  Congratulations to Seoyoung Ma and Jaeyoung Park on this prestigious honour.
    The show runs from February 18 - March 8, 2017 at Rodman Hall Art Centre, 109 St. Paul Crescent.  There is a public reception on February 23 from 4:30-6:30.

The Niagara Job Fair will be held at the Seaway Mall on February 28th and we have 30 spots for students to go and get a job on the spot. All you need is a resume and a permission form from Mr Keltos in the Coop office, room 208 to be able to go. Remember, if you are looking for a job this spring or summer the Niagara Job Fair is the place for you to go on February 28th. See Mr Keltos for more details.

  • Grade 9 and 10 Demonstration of Learning Initiative

    Students in Grade 9 and 10 Applied, Essential, and Open level courses have the chance to be exempted from their final exams if they have met specific criteria of Demonstration of Learning.  Letters will be sent home with Grade 9 and 10 students on Wednesday, January 25 indicating which exams students are exempt from.  Please check with your child for this letter.  Please contact the school if you have further questions once receiving the letter.
  • St. Catharines Collegiate Rotary Interact Club Induction

    The St. Catharines Collegiate Rotary Interact Club will have it's official induction ceremony on December 7.  Members from the St. Catharines Rotary Club and Mayor Sendzik will be at the school to participate in the ceremony. The ceremony will be held in TASTE restaurant at 11:00 am.  
  • Shaw Monologue Festival

    A BIG congratulations to Amethyst O'Brien on winning this year's Shaw Monoloque Festival.  There were 17 top performers from schools across the DSBN. The competition was ajudicated by a professional actor who has performed at Shaw Festival for over 20 years. Amethyst gave a truly moving performance to take home first place. Great job Amethyst!

  • CI and the Santa Claus Parade!

    On Sunday November 20th Collegiate took part in the annual St. Catharines Santa Claus parade.  Students started the day with a school BBQ then bundled up, played music and handed out cookies along the route. Great job Saints! 


  • Successful Lockdown Drill

    Today, Collegiate held a lockdown drill as part of our Safe Schools plan. Lockdown drills are held twice a year, in order to practice procedures in the event of an actual emergency.
    Today's drill went very well and demonstrated that staff and students are able to quickly implement the procedures.
  • Grade 8 Open House

    Our Grade 8 Open House evening will be held at Collegiate on Monday, November 28, 2016.  Doors open at 5:30.  The program begins at 6:00 pm with a presentation in the auditorium.  After, parents and students can explore the programs and classrooms around the school and interact with teachers and students.  Come out and see what St. Catharines Collegiate offers.
