Kindness matters at Collegiate and this month we want to catch you in the act! Don’t be surprised when someone presents you with a “Caught you Being Kind” ballot!  If you are lucky enough to get caught being kind, take your ballot to Guidance to put in the box for a draw. Three draws are taking place prior to the Collegiate Ice Dog Night which is on February 22nd. The last draw is today. The winner will receive 2 Ice Dog tickets.

Students who have taken, or are currently taking, Grade 11 or 12 University Chemistry - this announcement is for you: The University of Waterloo Chemistry 13 Exam (for 4U students) and the Avagadro Chemistry Competition (for 3U students) will be written in May. New for this year, will be that all exams will be written live online in a 75 minute time period. If you are interested in writing this exam, or using this experience in your supplementary application now required by many university programs, please see Mrs. Hopkins in Room 319 today, so she can submit your application to write.

It's that time of year again Collegiate. Get ready to swing your rackets and hit those birdies! If you are interested in playing on the badminton team this year, our first practice will be held this Thursday, February 22nd, in the large gym after school. Again that's THIS Thursday after school in the gym. We will be practicing every Tuesday and Thursday after that. Anyone is welcome to come out but make sure you have appropriate shoes and shorts. If you have any questions, please talk to Mr. Bhan in Room 213.

A reminder to ALL Interact and Student Voice members. There will be a meeting today at lunch from 11:00-11:15 in Room 110. All members please attend as we will be discussing tomorrow’s plan for the Ice Dogs game. 

Also, if anyone is still interested in purchasing an Ice Dog ticket for the Thursday night game for the low price of $10, please see Mrs. White today for your ticket. Tickets need to be paid in full by tomorrow morning to secure your spot. Any questions see Mrs. White.

Indigenous Arts & Stories invites Canadians of Indigenous ancestry (self-identified, Status, Non-Status, Inuit and Métis) between the ages of 6 and 29 to submit a piece of creative writing or two-dimensional art about their identity, heritage, culture, or a moment or theme in Indigenous history. Your entry into the Indigenous Arts & Stories competition must include a brief statement explaining how your piece explores Indigenous heritage and culture. Participants can win up to $2,000 and have their work published or exhibited! Any interested students can see Mrs. McGuchan in room 311 for details.

Attention all potential Grads: The LAST Grad photo session will take place next Thursday, February 22nd. If you have not had your picture taken or would like re-takes please sign up in the Guidance Office. There is no sitting fee to have your picture taken.
